Delete Messages In Facebook
To erase private messages, you have to open each message initially. Do this by clicking the Actions button and choose Erase Messages.
You will see all your messages with this friend, with checkboxes on the side of each message. Select the messages you desire to erase by 'inspecting' package beside the message, or simply click on the Erase all button.

To take control of your Facebook messages, go to the Facebook Quick Delete Messages extension page with your Chrome browser and click the Add to Chrome button to set up.
Once installed, the extension is activated automatically. Ways To Delete Private Messages on Facebook.
Action 1. Go to the Facebook homepage and click the "Messages" tab in the left column of the screen. Alternatively, click the "Messages" icon in the upper left-hand corner of any Facebook screen-- the icon is the image of two square chat bubbles.
Action 2. Locate the the message you desire to delete. Messages are noted in chronological order, with the most recent message at the top. Utilize the right-facing arrow at the top of the screen to browse to pages with older messages.
Action 3. Examine the box immediately to the left of a message.
Action 4. Select the "Erase" icon in the "Messages" toolbar, located simply above the message list.
