While it's possible to change the personal privacy setting of each specific post you share, what if you wished to stop a particular pal from seeing any of your material moving forward? Facebook's Restricted List function allows you to do just that.

When you include a pal to your Limited List, they will not see any of your future posts unless they are tagged in the posts or the posts have a "Public" privacy setting.

Here's how to add users to your Restricted List in the Facebook mobile application. Note: These screenshots were captured in the Facebook app on iOS.

Action 1: Go the profile of the user you want to contribute to your Limited List. You can get there by browsing for the user by hand, or by tapping on their name on a post or comment they have actually shared.

Action 2: Tap the "Buddies" button under the user's name.

 

Action3: Tap "Edit Friend Notes."

 

Action 4: Scroll to the bottom of the list, and tap "Restricted" to include a check mark to this row.

Action 5: Tap "Done" in the top-right corner of the screen to conserve your modifications.





If you ever desire to remove a user from your Restricted List, follow Steps 1-5 above to remove them.
