Deactivate or Deleting Facebook Account Using iPhone or iPad
If you don't want to permanently erase your Facebook account, you can decide to deactivate it. Keep in mind that a shut off account will remain on Facebook and can be reactivated later. To do so, perform the following actions.
1. On your iPhone or iPad launch the main Facebook app.
2. Once the app has introduced tap on the hamburger button from the ideal corner of the button bar.
3. Now scroll down and tap on 'Settings' alternative. From the slide up menu tap on 'Account Settings' option.
5. From the 'Settings' page tap on the 'Security' choice.
6. Finally on the Security Settings menu try to find the 'Deactivate' button and tap on it. Facebook will ask you to enter your account password.
That is it. Now your Facebook account has actually been shut off. This is a short-term deactivation and you can reactivate your account whenever you like. If you wish to completely erase your Facebook account then follow the steps in the next section.

The steps below are long-term, which means you will not be able to reactivate your Facebook account or recover the material you had shared on it. It is a great idea to download any photos, videos, notes etc prior to performing these steps.
1. Launch Safari internet browser on your iPhone.
2. Open this link: https://www.facebook.com/help/delete_account.
3. Enter your account password and hit the 'Submit' button.
