Deleted Facebook Messages
To delete private messages, you need to open each message initially. Do this by clicking the Actions button and choose Erase Messages.
You will see all your messages with this buddy, with checkboxes on the side of each message. Select the messages you want to erase by 'checking' the box beside the message, or simply click on the Erase all button.

To take control of your Facebook messages, go to the Facebook Fast Erase Messages extension page with your Chrome web browser and click the Contribute to Chrome button to install.

Ways To Delete Personal Messages on Facebook.
Action 1. Go to the Facebook homepage and click the "Messages" tab in the left column of the screen. Additionally, click the "Messages" icon in the upper left-hand corner of any Facebook screen-- the icon is the image of 2 square chat bubbles.
Action 2. Locate the the message you wish to delete. Messages are listed in sequential order, with the latest message at the top. Utilize the right-facing arrow at the top of the screen to navigate to pages with older messages.
Action 3. Check package immediately to the left of a message.
Action 4. Select the "Erase" icon in the "Messages" toolbar, located simply above the message list.
