Why might I wish to erase a Facebook group?
The reason I desired to do this is that I had actually a group based around a basic election that there was no point staying up to date with now. There are great deals of reasons you might want to delete a group, though-- it might have got out of hand, you may not have time to run it, it may be time-dependent and out of date, like my one was.
If it's a matter of not having adequate time, consider making another person the Admin for the group-- you can see ways to do that later on in this post, as well.
Note, you do have to be the owner or administrator of the group to erase it.

For each member, click on the cog under the member's name and click Eliminate from Group. Keep in mind that this is where you can make them an Admin instead.
Facebook will ask you to confirm.
Do this for each member of the group.
Finally, eliminate yourself from the group in the exact same method. You will get this confirmation message:.
