Yeah, there are any number of reasons that somebody would put you on the limited list. I make sure you're questioning now why they left you as a buddy. Well, chances are they figured you're less most likely to notice being put on the limited list than being unfriended totally. Or maybe they wish to sleuth on you.
If it actually bothers you, ask the person straight. If they are really your buddy it wont be such a huge deal and being sincere and direct is constantly a good strategy when it concerns speaking to your friends.
Wish to add someone to your restricted list? Well, from the menu on the left sidebar decrease to the bottom where it states Lists. There may be list options, click on the word Lists. (in the image to the right I have actually put a red box around where it can be found). From there you'll go to the lists menu, click the Restricted list and from that page you can add people.
The box on the right side of the screen is where you type in a friend's name and add them to the list. You can include as lots of people as you desire, they wont get any sort of alert. And opportunities are, they wont notification unless they just have like 10 buddies overall and don't follow any pages or sign up for any popular people's feeds.
If you're actually paranoid about what they can see, you can view your profile as that good friend and after that you'll see exactly what they see. Depending on whether you've got the brand-new timeline feature there are two ways to do this. Both start by going to your profile page. Then, if you still have the old profile there's a button at the top right that states "View As ..." if you click the button you'll get an alternative to enter any good friend's name. Just type in the good friend you've put on the restricted list.
If you've got the brand-new Timeline it's a bit more difficult to find. It's still on the right, under your cover image, under the fall where the gear is located. Very same thing from there, type the buddy's name in the box and you'll be able to see exactly what they have access to. This works for ANY pal by the way. If you're concerned about what a specific pal can see this is an excellent way to check it out.
Bear in mind, if you've got your default setting for posts to Public everybody will see it ... everybody on the web who can discover your profile. So if this issues you, utilize that little fall beside the Post button when publishing an upgrade. You can also post things to people JUST on a specific list. So if you're posting something controversial and do not desire to upset Grandmother or start a fight with your Tea ceremony friends, make a list for just individuals who will appreciate those things.
