Editing Facebook Posts
Utilizing the Mobile App
1. Open Facebook. It's a blue app which contains a lowercase, white "f.".
2. Tap your profile image. It remains in the upper-right corner of the screen.
3. Scroll to a post. Scroll down to a post that you want to modify.
- Posts are in reverse-chronological order, with the newest at the top of your Timeline.
- You can just edit your own posts.
4. Tap ∨. It's light gray, and you'll find it in the upper-right corner of the post.
5. Tap Edit Post. Now you can change the text and add or delete photos. You can also tag good friends, add a feeling or activity that shows exactly what you're doing, or inspect in to let people understand where you were.
6. Tap Save. It's in the upper-right corner. You have actually successfully made changes to your post, and the edited version is now on your Timeline.
Using Facebook on the internet.
1. Go to Facebook. Enter your e-mail and password if you're not immediately visited.
2. Click on your user name. It remains in the blue bar at the top of the window, to the right of the search field.
3. Scroll to a post. Scroll down to a post that you wish to modify.
- Posts remain in reverse-chronological order, with the most recent at the top of your Timeline.
- You can only edit your own posts.
4. Click ∨. It's light gray, and you'll discover it in the upper-right corner of the post.
5. Click on Edit Post. Now you can alter the text and include or delete photos.
- Utilizing the icons in the bottom left of the dialog box, you can tag pals (silhouette with a "+"), add a feeling or activity that reflects exactly what you're doing (smiley face), or check in to let people know where you were (place pin).
6. Click on Save. It's in the lower-right corner of the dialog box. You've successfully made changes to your post, and the modified version is now on your Timeline.
