How To Delete Facebook Post
Technique 1 Erasing a Remark on Mobile
1. Open Facebook. It's a blue app with a white "f" on it. If you're signed into Facebook, the app will open to your News Feed.
- If you aren't already signed into Facebook, enter your e-mail address and password and tap Sign in.
2. Tap ☰. This choice is in either the bottom-right corner of the screen (iPhone) or the top-right corner of the screen (Android).
- If you instead want to delete a remark you left on somebody else's post, type that individual's name into the search bar at the top of the screen and after that tap their name.
3. Tap your name. It must be at the top of the menu. Tapping it will take you to your profile page.
- Skip this step if you're browsing to someone else's post.
4. Discover a remark you want to erase. You may have to scroll down to do so.
5. Open the remark. On posts where there is just one comment, you can do this by tapping the remark beneath the post; otherwise, you'll tap the [Number] remarks link below the post and after that tap the remark.
- On Android, you'll tap and hold the remark you want to delete.
6. Tap Erase. It's near the bottom of the screen.
- You can not delete other individuals's comments if they weren't made on your material, but you can tap Hide to prevent yourself from seeing them.
7. Tap Delete when triggered. Doing so will remove the remark in question from the post.
Technique 2 Deleting a Post on Mobile
1. Open Facebook. This app is dark-blue with a white "f" on it. If you're signed into Facebook, the app will open to your News Feed.
- If you aren't currently signed into Facebook, enter your e-mail address and password and tap Sign in.

Tap ☰. It remains in either the bottom-right corner of the screen (iPhone) or the top-right corner of the screen (Android).
- If you desire to get rid of a post you made on someone else's page, instead type their name into the search bar at the top of the screen and then tap their name.
3. Tap your name. This alternative is at the top of the menu. Tapping it will take you to your profile page.
4. Scroll down to a post you wish to delete. You can erase any post that you or anybody else published directly to you profile page.
- You cannot delete posts from other people in which you are tagged, but you can remove them from your page.
5. Tap ... It's in the top-right corner of a post.
6. Tap Erase. You'll see this option near the bottom of the screen.
If you're removing your name from a tagged post, you'll rather tap Remove tag, then tap OK.
7. Tap Delete Post when triggered. Doing so will get rid of the post from your profile. Any likes, remarks, or other media associated with the post will likewise be removed.
Technique 3 Deleting a Post on Desktop
1. Go to the Facebook web page. It lies at https://www.facebook.com/. If you're already logged into Facebook, doing so will open your News Feed.
- If you aren't logged into Facebook, first enter your e-mail address (or phone number) into the top-right corner of the screen and click Log In.
2. Click your name tab. This choice is to the right of the search bar at the top of the Facebook page.
- If you wish to delete a post you made on somebody else's wall, you'll instead type their name into the search bar and then click their name when it appears.
3. Find a post you want to erase. You may need to scroll down to find the post in concern.
- You can't erase posts from other individuals in which you are tagged, but you can remove them from your page.
4. Click ˅. You'll see this in the top-right corner of the post's area.
5. Click Erase. It's towards the bottom of the drop-down menu.
If you're removing your name from somebody else's post, click Get rid of Tag here, then click OK.
6. Click Delete Post when prompted. This will remove the post and any associated content from the page.
