How To Delete Facebook Personal Messages
To delete specific messages, you have to open each message first. Do this by clicking on the Actions button and choose Erase Messages.
You will see all your messages with this buddy, with checkboxes on the side of each message. Select the messages you wish to erase by 'checking' the box beside the message, or just click on the Delete all button.

To take control of your Facebook messages, go to the Facebook Fast Delete Messages extension page with your Chrome web browser and click the Include to Chrome button to install.
As soon as set up, the extension is triggered automatically. How to Erase Personal Messages on Facebook.
Action 1. Go to the Facebook homepage and click on the "Messages" tab in the left column of the screen. Alternatively, click on the "Messages" icon in the upper left-hand corner of any Facebook screen-- the icon is the image of two square chat bubbles.
Action 2. Locate the the message you want to erase. Messages are noted in sequential order, with the latest message at the top. Utilize the right-facing arrow at the top of the screen to browse to pages with older messages.
Action 3. Examine the box immediately to the left of a message.
Action 4. Select the "Erase" icon in the "Messages" toolbar, situated simply above the message list.
