1. Go to your Facebook Profile page and click on About or Update Information. Both take you to the same individual info page.
2. Search to the Basic Details section on the right, and click on Edit.
3. Utilize the dropdown under Birthday to reveal the 3 options available.
- Show my complete birthday on my timeline.
- Show just month & day on my timeline.
- Do not show my birthday on my timeline.
The 3 choices are basically obvious. You can choose either of the last 2 to make sure a modicum of personal privacy. My suggestion would be to choose Show just month & day on my timeline. You would not wish to miss out on all the birthday dreams would you?
4. Drop down and click Save and you are done.
5. Facebook gives you more control over your privacy by letting you pick who to make your birthday information visible to. Click on the equipment icon to show the options offered as you can see in the screen listed below.
